Why Binance API Withdrawals Must Stay Disabled
Withdrawal permission allows an API credential to move assets away from the exchange account. That capability is unnecessary for TradePilot and creates avoidable risk.
Trading is not withdrawing
A Spot order exchanges one asset for another inside your Binance account. A withdrawal transfers assets to an external wallet or address. They are different permissions.
What the bot actually needs
The worker needs permission to read the account and place/cancel Spot orders. It does not need withdrawal, universal transfer, margin-loan or futures permissions.
What this protection can and cannot do
Disabling withdrawals helps prevent direct transfer of funds if a credential is exposed. It cannot prevent trading losses, malicious trades or losses caused by unsafe configuration, so IP restrictions and capital limits still matter.
