Slippage, Fees and Real Net Profit
A profitable signal can become unprofitable after commissions, spread and execution slippage. Performance should therefore be measured net of costs.
Trading fees
Binance may charge a commission on entry and exit. The exact rate depends on the account, market and fee settings.
Bid-ask spread
Buying normally occurs near the ask and selling near the bid. That difference is an immediate execution cost.
Slippage
Fast markets or thin order books can fill a market order at several prices, producing an average fill worse than the price first displayed.
Measure actual fills
Reliable reporting uses exchange fill prices and actual commissions rather than assuming every order filled at the candle close.
